Every year I put greenery and bows on the banister in my home but this year I added stockings to the mix. With the addition of mercury glass to my mantel the stockings looked yellow when I hung them this year so they ended up on the banister instead.
I have to say I miss not having stockings hanging from the mantel but I really like the way they dress up the banister.
What will I do next year? Do I make new stocking to hang from the mantel and hang these on the banister. Can you have to many stockings hanging up around Christmas time? Do you think Santa will fill them all?

I have my doggie's stockings hanging from the hutch in the kitchen instead of the mantel. Should go any place you want them to!
