Books on the Mantel

I love books!  I especially love old books and when putting my mantel together I decided to use some old books I had lying around.





I especially like the cover of this Natural Music Reader book.  I have had this book for a while and I don't even remember where I got it.


This picture I purchased at an antique mall last year when I traveled to Savannah, Ga. That was such a fun trip! You can click here to see some of the pictures I took on that trip.




You would think mantels would be any easy space to decorate but I struggle with this area of my house more than any other.  I love the way it turned out, it probably has something to do with the books. It makes me want to sit down in my favorite chair and start reading.

    I love the mantle. Love old books. This makes me want to go junkin'. It's been too long. Ready for Spring. I am crazy about Savannah and I can make it there in 2 1/2hours. Ready to make a trip!

    I really love your mantel. I saw it in the thumbnail while cruising down my dashboard, and I had to pull over for a closer look. VERY pretty! I love to decorate with books.

    I love it all! And I agree with you, my mantel drives me nuts, too! Not sure why, either. I have many of the same things you put on there. I especially love using books as well. New follower!
