I found some great finds at garage sales this week.
This mirror is probably the greatest bargain, it is in perfect condition. I have no idea were I am going to hang it but for $10.00 I could not pass it up.
This cute little pinafore was a steal at 75 cents.
You can never have to many silver trays, at least that is my motto. I got this one for $3.00.
The cute little white pitcher was only $1.00.
This little trunk is very dirty but I think it has some potential. For only $1.00 if it does not work out I am not out much. Leave a comment if you have any fabulous ideas for what I can do with it. I will have to do something to the outside of it because it is in such bad shape.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit and happy garage selling everyone.

Love all the great things you found! I can't pass a mirror up {!!}, and I love trays, especially silver or pewter. You did a wonderful job. I can imagine storing some of my dishes in the suitcase.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!

Oh, that mirror was a fantastic find for the money. Nice finds all around.
ReplyDeleteSome great finds at GREAT prices. I need to start going to yard sales. I'm with you about silver trays. I put everything on a silver tray!
ReplyDeletelove that mirror, i've seen people paint the frames & over the mirror with chalkboard paint!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your finds but especially love the mirror and the pinafore is too cute for words.
ReplyDeleteThe mirror and trunk are my favorite! Great deals on everything! love it all!
ReplyDeleteI agree, one can never have too many silver trays. Great buy on the one you found. I love that sweet pitcher, too. Another super buy. All your treasures are lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous mirror!
ReplyDeleteWonderful finds! I have been such a yardsale slacker this summer. I have hit a few flea markets but not good old cheap yardsales. Your finds have motivated me. Maybe when it gets a little cooler...
ReplyDeleteThat mirror is gorgeous. What a lucky find and love your tray and pitcher, too.
ReplyDeleteI'd paint the trunk white and just go from there with it! I looooove the mirror and such a great price for it!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love the mirror with all the carved details, simply gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Angela.
I'm positively in love with that mirror! I need some silver trays. And as for the trunk, well, I'd probably decoupage it.

I love the mirror. I'm planning on heading to our local thrift store for some home decor finds for my son's room.
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds. I love the silver tray and the little white pitcher. That trunk was a big bargain even i it does need a makeover. I would paint it white and then go to the Graphics Fairy print out some vintage travel images or labels and mod podge them on. Pink and Polka dot also has some great ideas for upcycling this kind of thing on her blog. I would love to see what you end up doing.

Great finds and such good prices. I love the little white pitcher.
ReplyDeleteHi Ruth, love all your transformations! that trunk is wonderful, such great accent hardware. I have one maybe just a little smaller that I painted white, and I have it in my DR under a white church pew. Also Kim at Savvy Southern Style had a great small decor trunk project where she did a "grain sack" stripe on it and it's just so cool looking. Believe me, you can paint those, they usually just require some patience and several coats of paint! xoxo Debra
ReplyDeleteToo funny about buying that fab old mirror and not knowing where you would put it... I do that all the time, but have never regret it... I'd only regret NOT purchasing something I fell in love with!
